Caroline Bendix is an accredited freelance library conservator with 40 years’ experience that includes work in many National Trust libraries. Packington Open Gardens Day

Be sure not to miss this splendid and ever popular event to which you will be welcomed by our church bells at the beginning of the afternoon. Ten gardens will be open, together with a History Group display in Holy Rood Church and a display by local Country Colours Art Group in the Memorial Hall. Doug has been gardening since he was a child. he trained as a horticulturist, working in the industry before spending 20 years in horticultural education. He is now an author, a senior examiner and professional associate with the RHS and a horticulture business consultant. He co-presents a garden phone in show on BBC radio Humberside and is a popular speaker. Doug is a self confessed plant nerd. Doug will be reminiscing on gardening methods of bygone years. Wildegoose Nursery - Over The Years & Through The Seasons

Jack and Laura Wilgoss run a small independent nursery and garden housed within the old brick walls of a former kitchen garden, nestled in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. They started as specialist growers of hardy perennial viola but their range now encompasses many flowering perennials and grasses. Jack will be joining us to tell us the story of the nursery.
